Drawing with a blue pencil

Hey! So it's interesting to see what can change in a matter of months. I feel like my understanding of shape and line quality has made a massive jump. I attribute all of it to practice. I have been drawing so much more. I have been copying the styles that I really like and it has naturally started to influence my choices as I'm drawing. I have also noticed that I feel much more confident when I draw with a BLUE pencil. Why? I don't know. It just feels better because I can draw much lighter to block in my shapes and then I can add dark detail as well. So I guess its creating that contrast and making things pop. Here are a few updated drawings!

New Character Designs for Iphone game

Hey Here are some recent characters I decided to ink up. My friend Carlos Fins showed me the ways of the Pen tool in Photoshop! Yes, I am sure that I can do this and much more in Illustrator. I am just so much more familiar with Photoshop so I did them in there! Anyway, Im stoked for these characters because I am going to create an Iphone game involving them. Cheers! I doubt anyone will read this but still its good to get some stuff up!

Just For Fun

So a fellow animator I work with is Nathan Lindsay. He is really talented in animation and concept. I love his style so I tried to mimic it but I fell short. Anyway, this is what I ended up with...an old man that forgot his pants when going to church.
